Another week, another adventure, this time on the high seas. I used 4 key colours, teal, grey, yellow and red. This was inspired by the colour collective promt 'mustard yellow'.
The sun is getting warmer, there was an eclipse to be witnessed and a night out to be enjoyed, so a very good week all in all! Thrilled to have found time to join in with colour collective once more. It's a great way to chat and connect with like-minded and all round lovely folk! Also, another fantastic week of artwork...
This week has been quite a strange one for me. A very large project is in the pipe-line, but I managed to squeeze in another #colour_collective piece 'Warm Grey'
I have been feeling pretty low about my work lately, this does happen from time to time, and I'm sure all creatives feel this sometimes! There are areas of my portfolio which I want to branch out gradually, part of which being my black and white portfolio. I have touched on black and white work before with my 'Marie Antoinette vignette...
This is a piece I did for the pale pink 'colour collective' on twitter. I didn't really have time to do an entire scene, but sometimes it is nice to do simple but fun characters on a white background for a change! Hope you guys enjoy :)
Here's the final thing - below are the steps:
1) doodle: Just get sketching, and if you aren't happy with it no one needs to see it :P!
2) I normally block out a general shape of how the body will be positioned and build it up from there.
