This week brings me to my 1st anniversary of joining the Bright Group and starting my professional illustration career. Incidently I also graduated on the 8th September last year! It's crazy to think how fast the time has flown by, but I'm grateful and proud to be part of the Bright family and to have been offered some really wonderful opportunities in the last year.

Stephanie Faris has created a classic character in Piper Morgan, the books are full of giggles and adventure whilst still being charming and full of energy. Piper is a quirky character and It has been a joy to bring her to life along side talented book designer Laura Disiena of Simon and Schuster.

This weeks Colour Collective piece. I must admit I feel very much like this little girl, with everything just slightly out of reach at the moment. I hope everything will fall into place in time. But, unfortunately, I stress easily!
I have lots of work, prior comitments, and now a flat hunt in an area I don't even know. A career in illustration is wonderful, but also unpredictable, which makes it hard to know what is just around the corner! Perhaps it's time to let go of all of the millions...
This week the new series of The Great British Bake off is started, and It's one of my guilty pleasures. I get very addicted, and prepare myself with cakes and tea, and shout at the TV. It can be a lot of fun, so this week I am passing up my usual Colour Collectiving, as I'll be on a train on Friday night, and have created this cute mouse, sneaking a nibble of a cupcake.
